If I submit an abstract do I have to attend the Congress?
All accepted abstracts that have been accepted as Oral, Poster Symposium or Poster presentations require that at least one author attend the congress to present the work and answer questions. Only abstracts of registered participants will be scheduled in the Scientific Program. For more information on abstract submission, please click here
Is there CME Accreditation?
The 6th World Summit on Pediatrics in Lisbon, 12-15 November 2020 (New Date), will apply to be accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).
The EACCME® is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net
Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Live educational activities occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC® credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
If I submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation must I deliver or may a co-author present?
Yes, you, or one of the co-authors may present the paper.
My abstract was accepted for the 2020 conference but I was unable to attend. Will I be able to present the same abstract or must I re-submit it for approval?
Under such circumstances the abstract should be re-submitted through the 2021 Abstract system.
How do I register for the Congress?
In order to register for the Congress, please complete the online registration form - available via the registration page on the congress website.
How can I pay the registration fees?

Can I receive an invoice under the sponsoring Company / Hospital’s name?
Yes. If you require an invoice to be issued to the sponsoring company, please send an email to the registration department at email@example.com
specifying the services requested and full address and company VAT number of the sponsoring company.
Can I register for the Congress without paying?
Yes, but your registration will only be confirmed when full payment is received.
Can I register before the early rate deadline and pay later?
No. In order to benefit from the early reduced registration rate, payment must be received before the published deadline.
Will I receive a confirmation letter after I have finished registering?
Yes. A detailed confirmation letter and receipt will be sent to you by email as soon as payment is received and registration is completed.
Can I register onsite?
Yes. Although you can register onsite at the congress, you will be charged the published onsite registration fee.
What does my registration fee include?
The registration fee includes entry to the conference 12-15 November 2020 (New Date) and all conference materials. Lunch is included for the first two days of the conference and coffee/tea breaks for the three days. There is also a welcome reception included at your registration that will take place on day 12 November after the closing of the Opening Ceremony at the exhibition area.

How can I register a group?

When should my registration fee be paid? Is there a deadline after I have been registered through the online system?
Please keep in mind that payment should be cleared in our accounts within 15 days of your online registration or by the end of the relevant registration period if the registration has been made less than 15 days before it’s closure.
Are there any sponsorships available for people from developing countries?
The conference supports delegates from development countries by offering discounted fees. If you are a delegate from a developing country we suggest that you register during the early bird registration period when the registration fee for delegates from developing countries has a discount.
Are there any fees available for midwives, physiotherapists?
If you are a midwife or physiotherapist you may use the nurse registration path. Please upload supporting documents to your registration to confirm status.
Are there any one day passes to the conference?
One day passes are not available for the conference.

How do I apply for a visa?
You must pay your registration fee via credit card or bank transfer.
For Bank transfer, when instructing your bank, please make sure that the delegate’s name and the registration confirmation number are clearly marked on the remittance advice allowing us to identify your payment and approve the registration.
As soon as you register through the online registration system you will receive a pending confirmation email.
Your registration will remain as pending until funds are cleared in our account. We will then approve your registration and send a final confirmation email with the invoice.
You will be able to revisit your registration page at any stage later by using your unique confirmation number included in your confirmation email.
Please bear in mind that payment should credit our account within 5 days of your online registration and within the registration period.
Any registrations not cleared within the period will be moved to the higher rate.

Is it possible to send an official invitation letter directly to my local Portugal Consulate / Embassy?
Unfortunately we are unable to send invitation letters directly to the foreign consulates or embassies. Invitation letters are prepared solely for individuals and are e-mailed as PDF attachment documents directly to them and if requested, also sent to them by regular mail. To receive an invitation letter, please send your full name, address and passport number to the secretariat at email@example.com
Will there be any translation service available?
No, the official language of the conference is English.

Will Halal or vegetarian food be available?
Yes. There will be options for both during the lunch breaks.
Will I be able to collect my certificate of presentation on the day?
No. The certificates of presentation will be sent out after the conference and upon request. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
